What first started as small confections shop out of, Caro’s home, has now stretched her powdered sugar hands to what they have always done – creating eclectic whimsical objects. In this case apparel for women, children, and baby , home and celebratory décor (plus cake decor), to something a “little extra” for a special event (bridal/baby shower/ photo-shoot props). It’s a shop of all things crafty, with eclectic themes of whimsy, feminine, rustic, vintage, shabby chic, wanderlust, urban, industrial, & boho….
It’s never ending, but one thing is for sure, whatever item your heart chooses in this shop, it will be the sweetest gift as any slice of cake, comforting and familiar as your cherished childhood memory, and lasting as the impression of that mysterious, “Je ne sais quoi”.
I’m a full time Actor/Singer, and part time Baker/Crafter/Blogger for, Caro’s Confections and Blonde2Brunette (click here). Throughout my childhood unto my college years I have always been creating from the inside out. Fortunately for me, my family welcomed my artistic side with open arms and bounced off each other with creative skills throughout the years. With this came a wide range of experience in all things crafty, self-taught skills along with working and learning with many skilled artisans. This has only enabled me to confidently continue to pursue a lifelong career in the world of THE ARTS.

9) How did Caro’s Confections start?
I always had a love for baking and decorating (thanks to my mom), and soon after graduating I had more time on my hands in between acting gigs and auditioning. I practiced making different kind of cakes and confections for my family, by well illustrated tutorial books and youtube. The next thing I knew I was getting orders from friends and family. Soon this passionate hobby became a part time job.
10) What inspires this company?
Truly it would be my mother and sister. Both named, Sylvia. Growing up baking and crafting was always a big part of any celebration and favorite past time. I have them to thank for always keeping the creative juices flowing. Only recently have we added another member to our team. It just so happens her name too is Sylvia, but she goes by Sylvi, two years old, and is my niece. She is a natural (look for a circus themed cake, that was all for her).
11) What goals do you have for ‘Caro’s Confections’?
Many actors after they build a name for themselves, start a fashion line, open a restaurant, or buy into another big franchise. It’s true I have already built and put away ideas in a folder for a wonderful cake shop/studio/cafe that I one day will call mine. I promise you, it will be a unique oasis you will want to frequent.

14) My life would be nothing without?
My loved ones and starbucks.
